Heroes Con Memories: In Which Unrepeatable Things Are Said

Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this Heroes Con story. But it’s just too bad (see: good) to get into specifics.

At last year’s show, at one point I was talking to Creator A and Creator B, both of whom have much beloved children’s books. Creator A mentioned that some fan had drawn a sort of Tijuana Bible with his innocent, cute character (from now on referred to as Character A. But the worst part was that the fan proudly showed this depraved work to Creator A, as if it were a great gift.

Creator B thought this was super funny, and he began to guess at the specifics (see: positions) of said innocent characters. This culminated with Creator B impersonating Character A acting out sexual acts that were beyond what I imagined to be the realm of possibility.

Things had gotten weird, as they say.

We all stood around a moment longer, then quickly headed off separately, forever unable to think of Character A and Creator B in the same, innocent way any more.
