I took part in spirit, if not in fact, in this year’s 24 Hour Comics Day last weekend. My comic didn’t make it to 24 pages, and I didn’t finish it within the 24 hour window. But, what the heck. I tried.
The story also came from a joke made at SPX, not from the day of the event, so I really broke all of the few rules there are for 24 Hour Comic Day.
I was inspired by my friends at Doomkopf, who followed the rules and came up with some weird, weird stuff.
Here, then, is my little comic, with the complete story after the jump. Apologies in advance for the quality of the art.

In case you’re curious, the “action heroes” at the end are supposed to be, from left to right, Bruce Willis as John McClane, some guy, Carl Weathers as Action Jackson, some guy, Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, some guy, Uma Thurman as The Bride, Arnold Schwarzenegger (sp?), Jean Claude Van Damme in Time Cop, Black Belt Jones and Steven Seagal in Under Siege.

New rule: Carl Weathers in every comic you are involved in, whatever the capacity may be.
Good thing my next project is called “Carl Weathers: Pure Awesome.”
Weren’t you supposed to be the “normal” one? Keep up the brilliant and bizzarre.

Heee…. wonderful! And aw… buck up little Norris… you would only know so many words in the crossword, Octogon, kick, punch, roundhouse, ranger, and um… you’ll get ‘em next time!
Is it just me… or does that first Chuck Norris picture look a bit like a true action hero… none other than… Mr. Van Jensen?!
Also “my boys.”
Nuff said.
